Industry Associate Code of Conduct

As an approved UKATA Industry Associate, we expect all companies to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

Compliance with Laws and Regulations: All Industry Associates must comply with applicable health and safety laws, regulations, and standards. Companies must also adhere to competition laws and regulations, ensuring fair and ethical business practices.

Insurance Requirements: Industry Associates must maintain appropriate levels of insurance coverage for the work and services they offer. The company must provide evidence of insurance to UKATA upon request.

Annual Application: All approved Industry Associates are required to complete an annual application to ensure their information is up to date. The application will include any changes in the company's details, insurance coverage, or other relevant information.

Display of Company Details: Once a company meets the criteria set out by UKATA, their company details will be displayed on the UKATA website. It is the responsibility of the Industry Associate to ensure that their company information is accurate and up to date. Additional address listings can be included for a fee of £50 + VAT.

Primary Contact: Each approved Industry Associate must designate a primary contact person who will serve as the main point of communication between the company and UKATA. The primary contact will be responsible for handling all enquiries, requests, and updates related to the company's approval.

Data Protection and Privacy: Industry Associates must comply with applicable data protection laws and regulations. UKATA will handle any personal data shared by the Industry Associates in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

Notification of HSE or Legal Actions: If an Industry Associate becomes subject to any actions, investigations, or enforcement actions by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) or any other relevant authorities, they must promptly notify UKATA. UKATA may conduct its own review and take appropriate actions based on the nature of the issue.

Termination or Conditional Approval: UKATA reserves the right to terminate the approval of an Industry Associate at any time if they fail to meet the code of conduct, violate any applicable laws or regulations, or engage in conduct detrimental to UKATA's reputation. UKATA may also apply conditions to the approval based on the nature of any issues identified.

UKATA Brand and Trademarks: All UKATA logos are trademarks of UKATA and must be used in compliance with the brand guidelines provided. Industry Associates cannot purport that their services are endorsed or approved by UKATA without proper authorisation.

Professional Behaviour and Representation: Industry Associates must conduct themselves in a professional manner and operate their business in a way that reflects positively on UKATA. Industry Associates must not engage in any behaviour that could bring disrepute to UKATA or its members.

Advertising and Selling Asbestos Training: Industry Associates cannot advertise or sell asbestos training unless they are already an approved UKATA member or a Third Party Agent authorised by UKATA.

Registration Fees: The initial registration fee for Industry Associates is £250 + VAT. Annual renewal fees for Industry Associates are £250 + VAT. All fees are non-refundable.

UKATA is not responsible or liable for any transactions, agreements, or services provided by the Industry Associates. Users of the website are advised to exercise their own judgment and due diligence when selecting an Industry Associate.

By agreeing to become a UKATA Industry Associate, companies acknowledge and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Failure to comply with these rules may result in the termination of approval or other appropriate actions by UKATA.

Please note that this Code of Conduct is subject to revision and updates by UKATA as deemed necessary. It is the responsibility of the Industry Associates to stay informed about any changes to the Code of Conduct.
