Philip Embleton from Expedient Training Services Ltd shares how he got into the asbestos industry
How did your career begin?
My career started in the Gas industry replacing damaged or ageing infrastructure.
How did you become involved in the asbestos industry?
I worked with asbestos during my gas days then became a trainer in the construction industry.
What experiences have you had in the asbestos industry?
I worked with asbestos fitting the product. Now, I instruct candidates on Asbestos Awareness.
What has been a highlight of your career?
Lots during my progression in gas, but at the training centre, becoming the training manager.
Have you seen any notable events/monumental/significant changes within industry?
Just how candidates are more aware of asbestos in their day to day lives.
