Men’s Health Awareness Month - November 2026

Men’s Health Awareness Month (or as some know it better, Movember) was created 22 years ago to “Get a few mates to grow moustaches and start a serious conversation about men's health”.

In 2026, the theme is ‘supporting men and boys’ through a prevention focus on mental health and suicide prevention, and prostate and testicular cancer.

Mates in Mind, over the last nine years have been advocating for, and working in partnership to create, proactive prevention workplace cultures, founded on psychosocial safety where working practices which can cause mental ill-health are designed out.

Together, we can also raise awareness, start and normalise conversations about mental health, end the stigma that surrounds it and enable people to access support if or when they need it.

Please remember, that whilst this is an important awareness date, building positive mental health in and through work should be something we focus on every day of the year.

Find out how we can work in partnership to build a safer, healthier, more resilient workplace, one where mental health is understood, championed and meaningfully supported at every level.
