Mental Health Awareness Week 11 - 17 May

Mental Health Awareness Week takes place from 11-17 May 2026, with this year’s theme focused on one important word: Action.

The campaign highlights the importance of turning awareness into meaningful action by encouraging conversations, reducing stigma and creating supportive environments where people feel able to speak openly about mental health.

Across all industries, workplace wellbeing continues to play an important role in supporting individuals both professionally and personally. Simple actions such as checking in on colleagues, promoting open communication and encouraging access to support can make a significant difference.

To support this year’s campaign, Mates in Mind has made a range of free resources available to help organisations and individuals promote positive mental wellbeing throughout the week and beyond. Resources include posters, wellbeing materials, toolbox talks, quizzes and stress awareness guidance designed to encourage healthier workplace cultures.

Mental health should never be treated as an afterthought, and Mental Health Awareness Week provides an opportunity for businesses and individuals alike to reflect on how positive changes, no matter how small, can contribute to safer, healthier and more supportive working environments.
