UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA) Announces New Partnership with the UK Locksmiths Association Ltd (UKLA)

UKATA, a leading authority in asbestos training, is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the UK Locksmiths Association (UKLA). The partnership brings together both organisations with a shared aim of raising awareness of asbestos risks and promoting safe working practices across the locksmith industry.

Locksmiths regularly work in older domestic and commercial properties where asbestos-containing materials may still be present. Routine tasks such as drilling into walls, door frames and surrounding building fabric can inadvertently disturb asbestos if appropriate precautions have not been taken. Through this partnership, UKATA and UKLA will work together to improve awareness of these risks and help ensure locksmiths have access to the information they need to work safely.

This partnership reflects the shared commitment of both organisations to promote asbestos awareness and improve health and safety within the locksmith profession. By combining their expertise and resources, UKATA and UKLA aim to help reduce the risk of accidental asbestos exposure through education and the promotion of best practice.

UKATA's Operations Manager, Sasha Brailsford, said:

"We are delighted to be partnering with the UK Locksmiths Association. Locksmiths often work in a wide variety of older buildings where asbestos may still be present, so helping to raise awareness of the risks and the importance of asbestos training is an important step in protecting those working within the profession."

UKLA Director, Adam Jackson, said:

"We at the UK Locksmiths Association Ltd are also delighted to be involved with such an important issue as asbestos"

As part of the partnership, UKATA will provide practical asbestos awareness resources that UKLA can share with its members, alongside opportunities to promote webinars and other educational content to support ongoing professional development.
