UKATA Director to address delegates at UK Construction Week 2018

Professor Roger Willey will take to the stage at UKCW and discuss Asbestos: real risk, perceived risk and contract price.

UK Construction Week (UKCW) is the UK’s largest built environment event; bringing together 35,000 construction professionals and 650+ exhibitors at the NEC Birmingham on 9-11 October 2018.

Professor Roger Willey is a highly regarded expert witness acting in over 600 cases in Senior Law Courts for the last 20 years, he has over 40 years’ experience of asbestos research, consultancy and training and has been involved in over 100 000 different asbestos related contracts.

In September 2014 he received the IOSH President’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his services to Health & Safety.

In September 2016 he received the prestigious silver medal award from the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland.

Roger was presented with a Lifetime Achievement award at the UKATA Excellence Awards 2018 in recognition of service and dedication to the asbestos industry.

Since being established in 2008, UKATA has gone from strength to strength in the last 10 years, now numbering more than 180 member organisations from all corners of the UK.
