UKATA recently exhibited at the Contamination & Land Remediation Expo (CLR Expo), held on 16–17 September 2026 at the NEC Birmingham. As a longstanding partner of the event, UKATA once again reinforced its commitment to promoting high standards of asbestos awareness and safe working practices across the land remediation and environmental sectors.
Part of the wider Environmental Services & Solutions Expo (ESS Expo), CLR Expo remains a key event in the industry calendar, bringing together professionals from across remediation, construction, consultancy and related sectors. This year’s event featured a busy exhibition floor and a programme addressing the challenges and regulatory developments shaping the future of land remediation.
Throughout the two-day event, UKATA welcomed visitors to their stand, where the team engaged with delegates on the importance of quality-assured asbestos training and the role of UKATA in maintaining industry standards. UKATA was also pleased to be joined by a number of its members exhibiting at the event, including Element, SOCOTEC and Tetra Tech, along with charity partners Mesothelioma UK, further highlighting the strength of collaboration across the sector and the shared commitment to improving safety and compliance.
The UKATA team had the chance to take on the “Pipetting Challenge” from Environmental Chemistry Testing, putting its accuracy to the test by creating the target dilutions of 20:1, 5:1 and 2:1. The team also took on the 2 kg Sampling Challenge, filling the container with what they believed was exactly 2 kg of soil.
The challenges certainly put their skills to the test, and UKATA was delighted to come away with a sparkling prize for winning!
