UKATA Charity Partner, Mavis Nye has been busy raising asbestos awareness at events across the country, most recently at Mesothelioma UK's Ladies Day in Manchester, March 2023.
Guests met other patients, family members, healthcare professionals, support groups, and legal firms who specialise in mesothelioma cases. Mavis is pictured here with Jennifer Seavor.
The day included a three-course meal and guest speakers including Helen Bone, a 39 year old mum of three and specialist nurse, who was diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma last August.
Mavis' next big role is as a special guest judge for the ACAD Supervisor of the Year Awards taking place in June 2023.
Mavis Nye was diagnosed with mesothelioma in 2009 and continues to raise awareness about the dangers of asbestos and mesothelioma.
