Save the Date: UKATA Asbestos Conference 2026 Announced

UKATACON26

Following the resounding success of UKATACON 2025, UKATA is delighted to announce the dates and venue for its next landmark event. The UKATA Asbestos Conference 2026 (UKATACON 2026) will take place on Thursday 18th June 2026 at The Crowne Plaza East Midlands.

The 2025 conference brought together nearly 120 professionals from across the asbestos, health and safety, legal, healthcare, education and construction sectors. What began as an annual gathering has evolved into a catalyst for change. The 2025 event marked a shift from knowledge to measurable progress, addressing one of the most persistent public health issues of our time.

Planning for UKATACON 2026 is underway, and anticipation is already building. The event will expand on the successful format introduced in recent years, offering a broader delegate base, a more diverse speaker line-up and an even greater focus on practical knowledge sharing and innovation. A social evening with networking opportunities will take place on Wednesday 17th and the conference will be held on Thursday 18th June. With asbestos once again a topic of national discussion, from parliamentary committees to investigative journalism, the timing could not be more critical.

UKATA Chief Operating Officer Craig Evans said:

“UKATACON brings together professionals, policymakers and innovators who share one clear purpose: to make asbestos risk management smarter, safer and more accountable. 2026 will be our most ambitious conference yet, providing a platform where transparency, innovation and lived experience meet to shape the future.”

The 2025 conference featured leading voices from across the asbestos and occupational health landscape, including representatives from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), NHS, Irwin Mitchell, Mace and ACS Risk Group. Delegates engaged in sessions that tackled the realities of asbestos management, compliance, health protection, digital transformation and legal accountability. Exhibitors showcased tools and technologies designed to make asbestos safety more effective, connected and data driven.

Delegates provided some exceptional feedback following the 2025 event with Kevin Quinn of Tersus Group (Hydro-X) saying UKATA’s Asbestos Conference 2025, was “one of the most useful and interesting events I’ve been to”.

Wojciech Przytulski, Asbestos Manager at P.P O'Connor Group Limited added “Great event well organised, fantastic speakers with great presentations. Fantastic opportunity for networking”.

We have already secured a number of high-quality speakers, for UKATACON 2026 including representatives from the HSE, legal experts and a powerful personal perspective from a mesothelioma victim, with further industry speakers to be announced shortly. The full programme will be released in the coming weeks.

We’re also expanding the event to include a broader audience of clients, duty holders and decision-makers, creating even more opportunities for valuable discussion, learning and networking.

Interested parties from all sectors are invited to save the dates, 17-18th June 2026, at The Crowne Plaza East Midlands, and take advantage of the Early Bird ticket offer (which ends 30th April 2026) and discounted hotel room booking, for this unmissable industry event.

Whether you work in asbestos management, construction, education, healthcare or policy, UKATACON 2026 is your opportunity to be part of a shared effort to improve standards in asbestos risk management, drive change and protect future generations.
