Stress Awareness Week 2025 takes place from 3rd to 7th November, focusing on the importance of recognising and managing stress in the workplace. The week aims to raise awareness of how stress affects individuals and organisations, and to highlight practical ways employers can protect and support their teams.
Figures from The Health and Safety Executive (HSE), 2023/24 saw 776,000 workers report suffering from work-related stress, depression or anxiety, representing nearly half of all work-related ill health and resulting in the loss of 16.4 million working days.
To help employers take action, the HSE Working Minds campaign is providing free guidance and tools, including the Talking Toolkit and the 5 Rs approach – Reach out, Recognise, Respond, Reflect, and Make it Routine - offering simple steps to identify, manage and reduce stress at work.

Mates in Mind is also supporting the campaign, encouraging open conversations about stress and mental health to help break down stigma and promote psychologically safe, supportive workplaces. The charity offers a range of resources, including videos, posters and toolkits, to help organisations and their supply chains strengthen their approach to mental wellbeing.
