Craig Evans, was appointed as Chief Operating officer of UKATA in July 2018, one of his first projects in the new role was to lead the Association in achieving the ISO 9001:2015 accreditation.
ISO 9001 is an international standard for a Quality Management System (QMS). In order to achieve this standard, an organisation must prove their internal quality systems and procedures follow strict guidelines, thus ensuring the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet the needs of their customers and other relevant stakeholders.
UKATA were awarded ISO 9001:2015 in July 2019, Craig Evans said on achieving the accreditation "We sailed through the ISO 9001:2015 accreditation process with a clean report at both stages of audit. The assessor commended the procedures we have in place and the professionalism of that staff, I concur"
