UKATA is proud to announce its new status as a Gold Corporate Partner of Mesothelioma UK, formalising over a decade of dedicated support for the national charity that provides specialist care and support to those affected by mesothelioma, an incurable cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.
The announcement reflects UKATA’s ongoing commitment to raising awareness of the devastating impact of mesothelioma and supporting the life-changing work carried out by the charity across the UK.
“For more than a decade, UKATA has proudly supported Mesothelioma UK through a variety of activities and fundraising efforts, and we are delighted to now formalise this commitment through their new Gold Corporate Sponsor package.” said Craig Evans Chief Operating Officer of UKATA and newly appointed Trustee of Mesothelioma UK.
Mesothelioma UK is the only national charity dedicated solely to supporting people with mesothelioma. Despite the UK having the highest incidence of mesothelioma in the world, many patients still lack access to consistent, specialist care. With over 2,700 people diagnosed annually, the disease remains a significant public health issue, affecting not only those in industrial roles, but also teachers, nurses and other public servants unknowingly exposed to asbestos.

Thanks to generous partners and supporters, Mesothelioma UK has provided nearly 30,000 episodes of expert support in the past year alone. Yet, the demand continues to grow. UKATA is proud to stand alongside Mesothelioma UK in its mission to improve patient outcomes and raise awareness across the asbestos and wider industries. The new Gold Sponsorship is not only a financial commitment, but also a pledge to advocate, educate and take meaningful action.
As part of the Gold Sponsor package, UKATA will continue to support Mesothelioma UK through event participation, awareness campaigns and collaboration on industry initiatives. UKATA also encourages other organisations across the asbestos management and construction sectors to explore partnership opportunities with the charity.
Craig Evans adds: “Mesothelioma UK is an incredible charity, closely linked to the asbestos industry and the people we represent. As COO of UKATA and a Trustee of Mesothelioma UK, I have the privilege of seeing first-hand the life-changing work they deliver, and I would encourage others across the industry to consider supporting this vital cause”.
