UKATA Celebrates Another Successful Year Exhibiting at the CLR Show 2025

UKATA is pleased to report another successful year exhibiting at the Contamination & Land Remediation Expo (CLR Expo), held on 17-18 September 2025 at the NEC Birmingham. As a longstanding partner of the event, UKATA once again played a central role in promoting safe and sustainable practices across the land remediation and environmental sectors.

This year’s CLR Expo, part of the wider Environmental Services & Solutions Expo (ESS Expo), attracted a record number of attendees, with thousands of professionals from across construction, remediation, consultancy and policy sectors engaging in two days of dynamic learning and networking.

Throughout the event, UKATA representatives were on hand at stand CLR-K50 to engage with delegates about the association’s role in setting high standards for asbestos training and awareness. Attendees had the opportunity to explore UKATA’s diverse portfolio of approved courses and UKATA staff provided invaluable insights into the benefits of quality-assured training and the value of UKATA membership and associate status in an increasingly compliance driven industry.

UKATA Events and Marketing Manager, Victoria Castelluccio commented:
“CLR 2025 exceeded expectations once again. It’s always a pleasure to connect with professionals who share our commitment to raising awareness and improving safety standards across land remediation and environmental management. The volume and quality of conversations we had at this year’s show clearly demonstrate that asbestos awareness remains a high priority for the sector.”

The jam-packed agenda and stand popularity meant that the team didn’t get the chance to hear from Michaela Strachan, a great dismay to one member of staff in particular, who is a “really wild fan”. However, this blow was softened by some special guests to stand including UKATA members Acorn Analytical Services, Caerphilly County Borough Council, Industry Associates Moorland Environmental and UKATA Auditor Ab Woolass.

The success of UKATA’s presence at CLR 2025 reflects the continued importance of cross-sector collaboration in tackling legacy contamination and promoting sustainable land use. UKATA extends its thanks to the event organisers, fellow exhibitors and all the visitors who engaged with the team over the two-day event.

Plans are already underway for UKATA’s involvement in the 2026 edition of the Expo, as the association continues to lead the way in asbestos training and contribute to a safer, more sustainable built environment.

UKATA, a leading association, is dedicated to enhancing the quality and standards of asbestos training with the aim to shield workers and the public from the hazards of asbestos exposure.

The association collaborates closely with its members to guarantee that they have access to the latest information, training resources, and industry updates. They provide a suite of support services to assist them in accomplishing their training objectives. Their membership encompasses a diverse array of organisations involved in asbestos training, including training providers, asbestos removal contractors, consultants, and equipment suppliers.

UKATA is fervent about promoting safe and responsible working practices, committed to working with members and partners to realise a shared vision of protecting workers and the public from the hazards linked with asbestos exposure.
