UKATA is thrilled to announce that Director Adam Harding will be representing the organisation at the Global Asbestos Forum (GAF) Conference in Bergen, Norway, taking place on 13-14 November 2025.
Adam will join Tom Eriksen of Eriksen HazMat Survey AS, to deliver a joint presentation titled “Improving Training Standards.” The session will explore the importance of high-quality education and effective training in promoting safe asbestos management. They will examine ways in which organisations and training providers can strengthen professional competence and improve consistency in delivery, whilst ensuring staff are properly prepared to manage asbestos risks. The presentation will also consider practical approaches to developing training programmes that meet the evolving needs of the sector and support safer working practices across a variety of industries.
Adam began his career as a science graduate and has since built extensive experience in environmental consultancy, project management and health and safety compliance. As Managing Director of ADM Training and a UKATA Director, he works with a wide range of organisations to improve standards and promote best practice in asbestos and health and safety management.

The Global Asbestos Forum Conference will bring together international experts, policymakers, researchers and industry professionals to share knowledge, case studies and innovations that help reduce the risks associated with asbestos exposure. This year’s theme, “Collaboration is Key,” emphasises the importance of working collectively to raise awareness and improve the quality and accessibility of training worldwide.
